What is a Monster Inspection Report?
Buying a new home can be scary for little ones, so we turn it into an adventure.
As part of your inspection, we’ll also complete a Monster Inspection Report — checking closets, attics, basements, and under beds to make sure the house is officially monster-free and kid-approved.

This playful add-on reassures kids that their new home is safe, while giving them something to hold onto that’s just for them.
Parents get peace of mind; kids get bragging rights.
Monster Inspection™ Report
A kid-friendly mini report that turns scary corners into science. We check the “spooky” spots together, explain house noises, and crown your kid a Certified Monster Detective.
Monster Safety Check
- Guided flashlight peek: under the bed, closet corners, behind curtains
- Thermal camera demo: “cold spots” are just drafts, not dragons
- Explain common “house sounds”: ducts, water hammer, wind at soffits
- Kid earns a Monster Detective sticker and a high-five
Monster Patrol Deluxe
- Walk-through of kid-identified zones: squeaky doors, attic hatches, basements
- Simple “why it happens” demos: bathroom fan hum, furnace start-up rumble
- Grown-up tips: hinge lube, door stop adjustments, draft reduction ideas
- No repairs performed during the inspection; we document and advise.
Sleep-Tight Kit + Certificate
- Certificate of Bravery for the new homeowner-in-training
- “Monster-Free Tonight” door hanger and mini bedtime checklist
- Noise-taming ideas: soft nightlight placement and white-noise basics
- Optional parent FAQ: what’s a harmless noise vs. a maintenance item?
Heads up: this is a kid-friendly bonus. If we see real issues (rodents, hazards, moisture), they go in the main report with adult-level recommendations.
